Individualized Counseling

At Honu Counseling Services, we offer individualized counseling sessions specific to your mental well-being needs. Our experienced team provides a supportive, empathetic, and diverse approach to help you address personal challenges, improve self-esteem, develop goals towards personal growth.

Couples Counseling

At Honu Counseling case management is provided, using a collaborative and holistic approach to provide support and services to individuals to advocacy for options of services, linkage to systems that provide them with resources, services, and opportunities, provide health education, and engagement, social services.

Case Management

At Honu Counseling Services, we offer couples a supportive and structured approach to help relationships thrive. Our services include personalized strategies and goals, communication techniques, and interventions designed to strengthen relationships and improve overall well-being.

Cost of services

As of 11/11/2025, services are private pay, cash, check, PayPal, and Venmo.

Medicare, Medicaid, HMSA, and Kaiser provider billing applications have been submitted, awaiting approval.

Confidentiality

Honu Counseling Services, Inc. maintains strict confidentiality, especially those living and seeking services for mental health counseling on Lana`i.

Honu Counseling Services, Inc. provides services by APPOINTMENT ONLY. This is very important. Please leave a phone message or email to schedule an appointment. Appointments are separated by a minimum of 30 minutes to ensure the best privacy. If scheduled for an appointment, please come no sooner than 10 minutes to your scheduled time.

Honu Counseling Services, Inc. takes confidentiality and privacy of care very seriously. Staff at Honu Counseling Services Inc. abide by State and National ethical guidelines as well as through codes of ethics with the American Counseling Association, American Psychological Association and the National Board of Certified Counselors.

For residents living on Lana`i, it is extremely important for you to respect your privacy and the privacy of others in our community. Counselor and client will discuss their supports and if permission is necessary to speak with a support or provider. This is completed through an Authorization to Release Information form, where only specific information can be shared with that person or provider.

Please help create a safe community where we can be our true selves. Please remember we are all unique and go through lives stages differently and at different paces.

It is important for the Lana`i community to recognize the staff at Honu Counseling Services, Inc. will not share client information with anyone unless there is danger to self or others, or legal involvement is required, and through 42CFR and HIPPA privacy rules.

Please remember that staff at Honu Counseling Services, Inc. are also residents and community members of Lana`i and are human and deserve respect and privacy outside of the counseling setting. It is to be known that a counselor will not engage first in community conversation unless the client engages first (we are not ignoring you, it's the law). If you are engaged in an community activity with a Honu Services Counseling Inc. staff, please know they are engaging in the same community activity and not the time to engage in a therapeutic or confidential conversation.
